    Default Anonimity at shooting ranges?

When one goes to a range does one need to give personal detail like id number or address or anything?

Or do you just pay and shoot?

Just wondering from a security point of view.

    :)

At my range day visitors need to sign in with name, id and calibers. Members sign in with calibers and signature.

All ranges I've been to have a range book.
Name, ID, contact no and calibre are the details required in the range book.

Most of the ranges I have been to want physical adress as well so this discussion actually raises a very good point. What do the ranges do to secure this information. A burglary gang looking for homes with firearms would love to get hold of this kind of info. Maybe we need to demand either anonimity or some sort of guarantee of security.

Just hope they do not take the stolen range register to a chemist.

FBGC wants name, ID #, phone # and whether you're a member. And they will need a bloody good chemist to decipher my handwriting :-)
