Can anyone help in Identifying this rifle please?
Good evening everyone.
I was at my local dealer today when I spotted the following rifle (as part of their vintage/interesting/collection type rifles) -
11111.jpg
Disclaimer - this is an internet photo, but the rifle is exactly the same type. I know it is Israeli and in .308 caliber. Can anyone tell me what this is? The action is definitely the Mauser action and so is the layout of the barrel and stock as well. Apart from certain proof markings, I cannot see anything telling me what rifle this is. I am thinking a Mauser rifle from some country that I am not familiar with?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Can anyone help in Identifying this rifle please?
Thanks driepootx - this in .308, however, it could have been converted by the Israeli's as well though. I also thought maybe one of the P-X rifles but unsure whether the Israeli's used those.
Thanks!

This would be my guess. My brother in law has one that used to belong to his grandfather

I hope this is not a hijack, but can one of you guys explain the colour markings on the action of the rifle (red white red)?
I have a ERA P14 action with the same colours painted on the magazine bottom and am wondering what this is.
