2017 IDPA Africa Champs Hosted by JDPC

Dear SADPA / IDPAmembers!

Now that thedust has settled on the 2017 Northern Nationals we can go ahead and open theentries for 2017 IDPA African Champs. Well done to MDC for presenting, which byall accounts, was an excellent match.

We are 8 weeks awayfrom the 2017 IDPA Africa Championship!!!!

The 2017 IDPAAfrica Champs will be taking place at JDPC/JMPD Roodepoort Range from 10^th -13^th August2017.

The SafetyOfficers will shoot the pre-match on Thursday, 10^th August and Friday,11^th August.
Competitors will participate on Saturday,12^thAugust and Sunday, 13^th August.

The match willcomprise of 16 Stages and will require approximately 250rounds (to be confirmed).

Online MatchRegistration; will be upand running by the end of this week.

EntryRequirements:

1. Fully paid up, SADPA affiliated, Club member.
2. Have aclassification as per the requirements of the rulebook in the division he/sheis competing in (Masters excluded).
3. Must be a safe and competent shooter.
4. Havecompeted in at least 2 Tier 2 or higher matches.
5. Have competed in at least 1 Tier 2 or highermatch in the past 12 months.
3. The following divisions willbe recognised for this match:
- SSP
- ESP
- Revolver
- CDP
- CCP
- BUG
4. The followingclassifications will be recognised for this match:
- Master
- Expert
- Sharpshooter
- Marksman
5. No sharing of firearmsduring this match.
6. Competitors to have aminimum of 5 magazines for the firearm that he/she is going to participatewith.

Match fee isR650.00 per person andwill include a catered meal on Sunday, 13^th August, duringwhich we will have the lucky draws, prize giving etc.
Non-competitorsattending the prize giving meal will be charged R150/person. Please indicatethis on your entry form when registering.

There will becatering on all 4 days of the match. Please note that there are no arrangementsfor special dietary requirements. Those participants wanting special mealswould need to make their own arrangements.

Please note that the number of entries accommodated dependson the number of Match Officials that will work the match. The entries willwork on a first come first serve bases. The main match will be able toaccommodate 208 competitors if a full group of Safety Officers are available.
Deadline for entries: 14 July 2015
Deadline for payments: 21 July 2015 (no payment will meanthat the shooter will be withdrawn).

In additionto current IDPA rules, JDPC specific range rules will apply.
JDPC Rangerules
In additionto the JMPD Range rules visible at the entrance, the following rules shall becomplied with by each and every SADPA member at all IDPA and SADPA DMG shoots,hosted on this range:

• This is a Cold range – unload you firearm in hot box before entering the range. Exceptions – JDPC Exco and working safety officers will carry hot.
• No shooter shall be permitted to partake in a match without signing the attendance register /indemnity form and any shooter who did not register prior to the day of the match, shall not be permitted to shoot the match.
• All shooters and spectators MUST wear eye and ear protection.
• In the absence of indicated MUZZLE SAFE POINTS, the 180 degree muzzle safe rule applies.
• Any shots into steel, props or range equipment within two (2) yards of the shooter shall result in an immediate Disqualification. Unless a target is placed closer than two (2) yards, that specific target cluster is excluded from this rule.
• All firearms/rifles to be carried unloaded, holstered or in a suitable bag that covers the entire firearm/rifle.
• The muzzle of the firearm may break the berm, but any shots over the berm shall result in an immediate Disqualification.
• The only DMG Shotgun ammunition allowed on steel is No. 6, No. 7, No. 8. No. 9 shot. Any other/bigger shot is deemed unsafe and shall result in a Disqualification from the match.
• No rifle shall discharge any tracer, explosive, incendiary or armor piercing ammunition. This shall result in an immediate Disqualification from the match.
• The Match Directors decision is final on all JDPC club shoots.
• No foul language or conduct unbefitting of a SADPA member will be tolerated on this range and such behaviour will result in a Disqualification from the match and be reported as such to SADPA Exco.

Please note that the following perks are on offer forsuccessful SO applicants:
- 2017 IDPA Champs match fee waived.
- Cash payment of R500/person for working SO’s.
- 2018 SADPA Membership Fee waived.
- 2017 IDPA SO shirt for each working SO.
- Meals for all working SO’s during the match.
