    I'm waiting for a promised vid showing the working parts articulating, but the info I have is that they still use a full length BC and a standard buffer and recoil spring operating inside the receiver extension, so, no!

    With the shorter cartridges it is possible to reduce the length of the BC and accommodate a shorter recoil spring behind that. This doesn't do that.

    Pity. Compactness is one of the key objectives of SMG's. Usually, anyway. I'll take an MP5 thanks.

    Problem though is bolt mass, hence why the 9mm AR uses a heavier buffer.Less weight and you destroy trigger pins.
