    What happens to the guys who has expired licences? Do they do renewals like normal?

    See point 3 in the original post. Like I said to Bowhunter, none of us have seen the court order yet and we only have a very brief summary of what was achieved from those there. A more complete picture may emerge later today or during the week. We may yet end up in some permanent limbo like the green licenses. Or SAPS will in the interim make the wise decision and start processing re-licencing applications (if re-licensing gets scrapped, they lose out on that money!). Or something else entirely (seeing as Zuma believes the courts have too much power in a constitutional democracy).

    For all we know they may very well be relieved. Imagine the amount of wasted time saved in not going through routine relicensing schemes.
