An above par batch of S365 or a slower batch of S355 is the right recipe for a 600 grain mono

Hahahaha as stated I would go with S355 as it's burning piss poor at the moment and that's the latest lot.

Few things are so good a remedy for stress related back spasms and kidney stones as a shot or two with this beast. Guaranteed to keep the mind occupied for at least 20 minutes.

    So!
besides the jokes, S355 seems the way to go.
anyone actually got one and has some experience?

What would you friend use this rifle for? Since a few( extremely) hunters/PH use this rifle you need to find a hunter who owns /shoot this caliber rifle.
According to Pierre Van Der Walt:
SONCHEM 385, 600gn bullets 98 gn( min load) 108 gn ( max load) Max velocity 2,275fps, 24 inc barrel, Hand load , not pressure tested...

I will ask around and see if we can get someone who owns this caliber. It is not a caliber the average person is able to shoot without developing a permanent flinch and some stout headaches... we participated in a Dangerous Game hunting course this pass week and the Weatherby 460 rifle was coined as the rifle with the most vicious recoil of all rifles. The person shooting this rifle needs to ensure he uses a heavy for caliber bullet at least and a mercury recoil reducer to try and lessen the recoil effect this rifle has.

... and clear your sinusses properly too!

It would just seem to be fair, that the hunter should share the pain with the elephant.

Whatever you do to the 460, download it.
