    Good idea, something to think of. I was thinking of welding small tabs or washers on each leg where a tentpin or similar spike can be driven through.

    That would probably work better.

    Wouldn't have to do all 4 corners. Just two diagonally from each other

    Love it! Will get the welding machine out tomorrow! Was planning on fixing the braai but this looks like much more fun.

    I had to borrow a welding machine.. have to invest in one but would rather save the cash for more guns. Enjoy

    If you cant weld you can buy 40mm PVC pipe and fittings. To top piece lifts off leaving the base, which when correctly glued folds up flat. I needed to add ropes to the top and with 4 tent pegs as stable as anything.

    Im also no pro I try until I find my way takes a couple of attempts on some scrap steel to get the hang of it. Or ask a friend or in my case my dad

    I haven't welded since my varsity days, not having a welder doesn't (wife saw through my suggestions that we need one).

    I went the pvc route. Cheap and very easy. Plans on the internet. It's also easy to add ballast in the form of sand.
