Default FPV drone components as a spotting scope...

Had too much time on my hands Sunday night and started watching YouTube videos about drone racing. Very cool.

This got me thinking... Instead of a expensive spotting scopes, could one not use the components to make a remote spotting scope for longer range shooting? e.g placing it near your target at the 300m range at SWAT. Camera can point upwards and the chances of being hit are minimal and even less due to the very compact nature of the items in use.

    - FPV receiver for Android 5.8G (I have a Samsung phone and Samsung Tablet both on Android) - For receiving picture and viewing.
    - FPV Drone camera 5.8 40CH
    - FPV Drone transmitter 5.8 40CH
    - 1500mAh lipo battery.. Should be able to power the setup for a few hours.

    Anyone with experience on this?

And just cover it with a 10 mm AR500 plate on a bracket in case some china thinks it might be fun shooting your camera.

Sadly you find those types everywhere... There's a reason I don't use a expensive GoPro to record shots :(
