Low Profile gas block - AR 15 sight problem
Hi There,
A noob needs some assistance, please !
Got my new AR-15 last week and took it to the range over the weekend to do sight fitment (Magpul Gen 2 flip ups) and alignment.
Alignment did not happen because of the front sight is fitted to a low profile gas block. Gas block rail and receiver rail not on the same plane/level.
After taking some measurements it was determined that I would require a 1/4" riser block for the gas block to lift the front sight to enable alignment.
I came to the conclusion, after serious web browsing and phoning gun shops around the country, that a 1/4" riser is non-existent.
What options is locally available, I was thinking :
1) replacing the gas block so I can use my current front sight.
2) get a low profile gas block front sight
3) DIY a riser for my current setup (low profile gas block + Magpul gen 2 front sight). if this has been done before, can someone share their wisdom :)
4) what else ?
Input will be appreciated.
thank you

5)Give the 18th century back its sights and put optics on the gun like nature intended

Re: Low Profile gas block - AR 15 sight problem
I suggest a variable power scope on top and a RDS on an offset.
