ruger m77 mark 2 / 30-06 owners
Been shooting Grom 170gr and happy with accuracy
Started playing around bought some 125gr Winchester eish did my accuracy go for a ball of sh1t
Experts what would the lightest bullet I can use for say up to 100m
I think the barrel twist is 1:10 , 2004 model
Not reloading , factory ammo
Thanks

I have the same rifle but have never tried such a light for calibre bullet.
Your accuracy problem is not due to the bullet stability on such a "short" bullet and a 1:10 twist
I think you are going to battle to find a variety of off the shelf factory ammo in this light for calibre weight class.
Reloading will give you a lot more options.
As a matter of interest what is your need for these lighter bullets ?

Thanks dale ! hoping you would answer
Shooting pigs max distance 60 paces
Thought if I get a frontal head shot it might not go straight though like the Grom 170's
What's your thoughts, unluckily not loading rifles yet
Factory ammo does restrict you

Your most cost effective off the shelf ammo that wont over penetrate would be 150 grain PMP soft point (brown box)

Nope. Fairly standard barring a trigger job and a Hogue stock.

Piglet
Is it not worth your effort to reload? A set of Lee dies costs roughly the same as two boxes of "cheap" factory ammo. I know a press is still needed.....
My 308 has never had a factory round yet.

Loading for 9mm and 40
But I know loading for rifles is a lot more precision than pistols
Don't think I am quite there jet
