Re: Howa HCR
Hunter, how do you find the stock on the rifle? imo, the Howa chassis looks really appealing and its certainly more cost effective than the MDT ESS chassis at 900Cad $.
How stable/robust is the stock given its adjustable. Recoil pad seems lacking - would this work on the 308 I'm terms of felt recoil?

Howa HCR
Am I correct in observing that on the RPR the barrel (bolt) is in line with the buffer tube (stock attachment to chassis) while with the others (HCR, MDT, Warrior) the barrel sits above it.
Does this make a difference in getting comfortable in the prone position i.e is cheek weld higher from stock tube than on RPR?
Is the perceived difference in bore axis (barrel vs buffer tube) an issue in i.e .308.
I hope this Afrikaner expressed his above thoughts well enough, the son is not out yet and brain matter is not functional yet.

Re: Howa HCR
BandK. If your in the CPT area.
You can gladly take a shot with my Rem 308 with the MDT stock and Ase Utra in front.
If you want to feel its recoil.
But there is almost none. The 26" varmint barrel, weight of Chasis, Ase suppressor and the 1.1kg Lynx scope. Eats up just about all of the recoil from a 308.
