    Default S&B Factory round fail

So this happened today at the range. Only noticed it when I ejected the spent casings.

Not a reload. Brand new S&B factory round.

No damage to the gun. Any ideas what may have caused this.

Probably. Funny that after all the reloading my first case failure would be a factory round.

Looks like a 357 Mag case? Not all that uncommon, even on factory loads. Had it happen to me with Winchester 44 Mag factory loads as well. Just chuck it in the scrap brass bucket.

A case head failure would have been more noteworthy.

I've personally seen FACTORY S&B destroy 3 guns.

Make a couple million rounds each year of loads of calibers even a 0.001% error rate is going to show up now and again.

all fun and games until the crack goes all the way around, and you get a casing stucking in the chamber/cylinder.
imho, I'd take the packet back, and try to get a batch number.

expensive gun + license effort > packet of ammo.

I've been shooting factory S&B 9mm and .357 in my guns since I got them. Never had any issues. But aside from reloading, what other decent range ammo can you look at? Fiocchi?

Will try to get a batch number, but that one was in the last cylinder I shot. So nothing left of the rest of the box

Hi, yes. .357magnum. Happened on my last table of pins. Didn't notice anything until I ejected the casings.

According to the internet, that right there, is called "Glock bulge" - Only Glocks are supposed to do it. Some dude called Darryll or Cleatus who lives in his mothers basement in Florida said so in a you tube video just last week...
