    Default Casefeeder Project (Pic Heavy)

    Hi Guys

I've had my XL650 for about 3 years now. I did not buy a case feeder.
I built one easily enough with some spares, a bucket and a Saturday.

Recently I bought a 3d printer and decided to create a feeder of my own.

I'm still busy with the mechanism to switch off when the tube is full and the feed plate needs some minor adjustments, but overall I'm really happy with the outcome of this.
Changing calibers is also an easy process of changing the funnel part and the feed plate. (5min)
It is fairly modular, I've designed it for the XL650 but should be possible to change the mount and funnel for other presses.
So far I've only desiged 9mmP and .223REM but adjusting to different calibers is easy.

    So far my costs is:
R600 for plastic (1.5kg), I can use less, but I printed some tests and failures
    R400 for electronics
Around 30hrs of design and 50hrs of printing.

Here is some pictures, I'll update these in the next couple of days. I'll also upload a video once working correctly:

    My old weekend project.

    Printed Mount
This is the second print. I messed up some measurements on the first try.
~10hrs printing time and ~200g plastic used.

The bucket. I did some smaller prints first of the important sections like the motor mount surface etc.\
~19hrs printing time and ~350g plastic used

    Printing the feed plate
    ~3hrs and ~100g plastic

A Mounted view. The bucket and Mount part is glued together with super glue

A test run. Need to change the electronics for switching and change the feed plate slightly

In which area do you stay.
Our firm frequently need 3d samples printed for designs.

    You should print tumbler drums.

I'm not planning on designing the whole thing as there is already workable sections as per https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2193453
I'll try to make something to place the bullets on the case.
