Re: Safariland 086 shot shell caddy
Bought one a month or so ago for a DMG match. From the revues they seem to be one of the better choices.
With my limited experience whit them, I was impressed by their build quality. I went prone with a full caddy in front of my Pistol holster and still had all the cartridges in there when I got up.

Re: Safariland 086 shot shell caddy
Ok been scratching and found 4 options I believe could work. (Mods please could you change the name of this tread to "Quadloader reviews" or something along those lines?)
Any opinions on the following 4 makes/models?
Safariland 086
Invictus Practical of some sort
Taccom Sport
Taccom magnetic
My plan is to shoot Standard division in SAPSA with semi-auto with an extended tube for now 99% club shoots with the odd league shoot in between. What is the absolute minimum number of rounds I should have on my belt?

Re: Safariland 086 shot shell caddy
I think they're the best over the counter option available here
I still use them for buck and slug
I run 28 rounds on my belt.

Re: Safariland 086 shot shell caddy
I run 24 rounds on my belt for 3GN and used to for Ipsc shotgun. This will change to 28 and 12 if needed
Even though I have an EZ Load rig I still use the taccom 8 ups for 3GN. To be honest I would buy what is available, and if that I the Safariland then go for it
