I will give Duane and Olight a free bump here.

I have always had excellent and fast service from Duane whenever I have purchased something from him.

I bought one of the original Olight S2 baton lights from him in April 2016 and that little torch has become my EDC light and gets used every day. Brilliant light for just about any close in type of task but with enough oomph to light up to 20,30 meters when required. Small enough to comfortably fit in a cargo pocket but big enough not to disappear.

The 18650 rechargeable battery lasts long and I generally exchange the battery every 2 weeks and recharge the used one which is then good to go for the next cycle. Cycled in this way my 18650 batteries last me 2 to 3 years before needing to be replaced.

Definitely go get some Olights from Duane!

Could I please ask a question

    S1R or S2R ?
What would you recommend? Can you get a weapon mount for one of them ?

Both are great as an EDC but not ideal for a weapon mounted light...I would suggest you rather look at the M1X for something that you can EDC and mount on a rifle.

I prefer the S2 to the S1 because of its slightly bigger size and the fact that it uses 18650 batteries instead of CR123. Don't know if you get a weapons mount for either but would not use it in that role. I prefer a dedicated weapons light.
