Default Why doesnt PMP manufacture spitzer bullets?

I recall a few people here visiting the PMP, factory, anybody asked why don't they make spitzer bullets? Both the brown box and pro-amm line have those flat points.

I think the OP meant the soft nose spitzer, with the exposed lead? Like interlock, game king etc. Instead of the flat bit of lead as seen.

If the flat lead tip annoys you, sharpen it with a pencil sharpener.

I have been thinking about some kind of way to consistently remove that exposed lead, never thought of using a pencil sharpener!

Many many moons ago there was an article in SA Hunter or Magnum (can't remember, but it was around the time of launching the African Elite range, general PMP article) where it was asked why the flat tip was used. The answer was to the effect that the flat tip didn't impact BC to such an extent for PMP to change to a more spitzer like point.

Isn't pmp the sole distributor for Swift products in Africa?

If so, Swift would not want pmp to produce competing products, and vice versa pmp will not even try to produce competing products.

Exactly what they told me at the huntex stall. The person mentioned out to 300m they have no problems with BC that's why they don't want to change it.

The PMP product line has been made blunt-nosed and basically unchanged for a few decades before their arrangement with Swift happened. So that's the lamest excuse I have ever heard.

But coming to think about it, I don't think PMP are capable of getting any sharper...
