I was shooting a fellow club member's MP5 the other day and I couldn't help but think that it would make a great home defense FA.
It's compact and light with great capacity.
Fitted with a flashlight, red dot, silencer and sling it will work nicely I think.

Two short sentences from you Big T put the same issue at rest for me. Been toying with the idea of a Roni for a long time. A good pump action shottie just seems a better idea. Thanks.

I have a Rossi 44m Lever Action Which I use to on occasion when the mood bites to shoot 50m steel gongs with open sights.
I would not recommend it for self defense. Unless you have a high end Lever Action thats been worked on.
They are not as smooth shooting as in movies. If under stress you cock lever wrong.
The round wont lift up high enough to feed into chamber and you would have issues.
This does not happen often. But it does happen if you dont operate correctly.

I would choose either buck or slug depending on what you need. Both ends up being unideal at both.

You have a shotgun you have a handgun. Dont spend money on a roni spend it on other security upgrades and lights lots of lights. Light up that yard like your hunting vampires. If peripheral alarms trigger you need to see what triggered them
