    Default Summer shooting in Ireland

    Hi all,

Hope you are all well. Unfortunately I haven't got out as much this summer as I normally would, however, I did get out a few days & recorded some footage, please see below:

This outing is the most recent one on barley stubble

On the same farm a few weeks earlier

    Some crow shooting

    Impressive!
What is the process to own a shotgun in Ireland? Is wingshooting a large sport there?

Thanks. You must have a clean record, have good reason to own a gun (I.e. Vermin control or game shooting), you must have written permission from at least 3 farmers & then you apply for your firearms license.

Yes there is a lot of decoying on crops during the summer, both woodpigeons & crows. Also a lot of game shooting, pheasants, partridge & woodcock in the winter.

All my shooting is in County Antrim, in Northern Ireland.
