The good polymer mags (tango down magpul or Daniel defense) are albettet than the metal ones.

Wow, that's quite some statement there - how do you back this up?
I use my carbine extensively, have used many brands of polymer magazines and I've gone back to GI ally mags, they're slimmer, lighter and not any failures in about 20 of them over the last 2 or so years. I guess if you have an AR that is fussy on mags (I had one of these thus the reason for using so many brands of mags) I could be an issue but any good carbine should be fine with win GI mags.
