The good polymer mags (tango down magpul or Daniel defense) are albettet than the metal ones.

Wow, that's quite some statement there - how do you back this up?

I use my carbine extensively, have used many brands of polymer magazines and I've gone back to GI ally mags, they're slimmer, lighter and not any failures in about 20 of them over the last 2 or so years. I guess if you have an AR that is fussy on mags (I had one of these thus the reason for using so many brands of mags) I could be an issue but any good carbine should be fine with win GI mags.

Well the US Marines say so.

Sorry BigT did not mean to forget your company. Was just throwing names out.

"I need AR mags" without a reason is a little like saying "I need a car" without saying what you're doing with it.

The testing of people with bigger budgets than me seem to bear it out.

I didn't say good GI mags are bad. I said others are better.
