Spot on SWAMBO
Very proud of my wife for her results during the practical evaluation yesterday for her competency, 10 rounds each target at 7m.
She handled a pistol for the first time ever in April this year.

Re: Spot on SWANBO
Spelled wrong, supposed to be SWAMBO, acronym for wife:
She Who Always Must Be Obeyed
Think it's originally from some folklore if I remember correctly.

It's a term commonly used on 4x4 community forum. It's never caught on here.

Re: Spot on SWANBO
... who borrowed it from the ZA-LRO which dates back to the late 80s, and the original LRO (which is still happily running on Mailman on an ancient Apple Mac in Ben Smith's basement in New Jersey). The term comes from Rider Haggard's King Slomon's Mines and refers to Modjadji, the Rain Queen, who is awarded the honorific "She Who Must Be Obeyed"... the "always" crept in to help those who struggled to understand the pronunciation of the acronym.
