    Default Bird flu

    How does Bird Flu influence wing shooters?
    I have read that bird flu is carried by geese and genuifowl. I am concerned to hunt if this is a health thread?
    how does it influence bird hunters and eaters in the western cape?

    Bird flu has been present in waterfowl here in the USA for several years. The main problem is it spreading to commercial bird raising operations like chicken farms. Thousands of turkeys in the northern states were killed because of it. Most were euthanized to stop its spread.

    I have heard no warnings to the general public because of it. However, it makes sense to wear surgical-type gloves when dressing your killed birds.

    Bird flu has no health hazard for humans. It is however catastrophic for commercial poultry business as mentioned above.
