Default Are Airports Gun Free Zones ?

I am meeting relatives at OR Tambo airport shortly.
Have SA Airports been gazetted as 'Gun Free Zones' ?
I was there last week and looked for 'No Guns' signs but didn't see any.
Plenty of 'No Smoking' signs though.
My worry is ... If I 'Conceal Carry' and an 'Explosive(s) Police Dog ...pun intended...'sniffs me out', am I in 'Big Trouble' ?
    Regards.
    Keith.

No. How would you book in your gun before your flight, at the police desk, if it was?

And we probably get a couple of thousand hunters from the USA and Europe and elsewhere going through the various internationals in SA with a few rifles each.

    Thanks Guys.
I obviously did not think this one through before I posted.
One question though...Where can you find a list of the Gazetted 'No Firearms' Areas ?
I've just been spending a fair amount of time 'on the web' and still haven't found such a list.
    Does one exist ?
    Thanks again and regards.

I've been in and out more times than I can remember ,even interacted with the Police K9's and never had a problem. On the odd occasion in the past I've needed to do work on the "departures Lounge" side of the security line , in which case there is a SAPS desk and safes where I've checked it in and out quite painlessly.

Do you guys remember that "National Key Points" list that was published in 2015 ? I remember something about no guns at those sites, and OR Tambo was on that list. Or was that a load of nonsense ?

As per the post before yours, certain areas of airports designated National Key Points are off limits.

    Hi again guys.
    Thanks Nyt Ryda and Tetelestai.
Perhaps that was what I was remembering.

So...It's National Key Points that are the real determining factor for 'no firearms' ?
With certain areas at those places being 'off limits'.
I'm guessing from earlier posts that in the arrivals area at OR Tambo it is OK to 'conceal carry' , but that some (all ?) airside areas could be 'no go zones'.
    But...I could be wrong !
    Regards.

That is my belief as well. I'm not certain of this though and hence did not advise you as such.
