Thoughts and prayers. May Doc rest in peace, and may his wife, now a widow, recover quickly from her physical injuries.
Unfortunately, we are forced to accept that the emotional trauma will probably never heal.

    RIP to your friend.
    Quick recovery to his wife.
Cops do nothing and if they do, terrorists are out on parole by sunset.

    Count on farms for 2017:
    Attacks 302
    Murders 61

And it is not done yet.

Knew the Doctor and his wife, really good people.

    Why???

Myself living on a farm near Ellisras. We are a bit negative currently.

Any news on Mrs's physical recovery?

Update: dr Marriette is recovering in a Pretoria hospital.she is out of icu, and out of danger.
There is still some paralysis of lower limbs, but there is hope of eventually regaining the use of her legs.
I may have reported that she was shot with a .25 ACP, that was wrong. She was shot with a .22 magnum NAA. (The pocket revolver without the trigger guard.)
That was unfortunately more powerfull than a .25, but still less than a 9 mm P.

That is good news for her.
As for the firearm, obviously stolen or even worse a firearm handed in for destruction.
