Thanks guys. The reason for sharing this story is for the OP.
Lethal force was not used, but a firearm was. No casualties.
I feel that using your FA is not for just pulling the trigger once drawn. NOW.....I'm not saying that I agree every Tom, Dick and Harry pulls their FA in any situation, but in this situation, where a life was endangered, it worked to save a life.
I've also wondered what would happen to me in these situations. I'm glad my bud had a game plan all along. Made me put mine into place, thats for sure

I can see myself in your shoes. I posted a thread about something similar almost happening to us in August. Well done!
That's why we all need to practice accurate shooting with our handguns too, not just speed. Sometimes the only shot is a difficult one.
