    Nice Deonj.

I shudder to think what would have happened if you had not reacted.
Recent studies show that 1 out of every 3 liberals are just as dumb as the other 2

Thanks guys. The reason for sharing this story is for the OP.
Lethal force was not used, but a firearm was. No casualties.
I feel that using your FA is not for just pulling the trigger once drawn. NOW.....I'm not saying that I agree every Tom, Dick and Harry pulls their FA in any situation, but in this situation, where a life was endangered, it worked to save a life.

I've also wondered what would happen to me in these situations. I'm glad my bud had a game plan all along. Made me put mine into place, thats for sure

My friend acted very quickly and drew his FA and the perp froze with child in arms. I took the girl and a by stander cable tied the perps hand together till police arrived. The perp as per usual, said he was just playing and whatever else he said. When police arrived the perp was arrested and taken away. We opened a case of attempted kid napping and filled a form in at police station that gave reason for drawing the firearm.

The firearm was not at any stage taken away.

The perp got 10 years and court papers showed 'citizens arrest'
I can see myself in your shoes. I posted a thread about something similar almost happening to us in August. Well done!

That's why we all need to practice accurate shooting with our handguns too, not just speed. Sometimes the only shot is a difficult one.
