Re: Why Spyderco?
Thanks. One should add that these knives have many happy owners. What passes as "acceptable" or "good enough" for one who is not bothered too much can be downright unacceptable for another.

Re: Why Spyderco?
I use a Byrd Meadowlark 2 every single day (poor man's Delica 4). I sharpen when it needs it and it's an awesome knife. I really wanted the Delica 4, but the price is hard to justify as an EDC knife that gets worked hard. The steel is not as good as the Delica, but then there are better scales on the Meadowlark (mine has G10 vs the standard FRN on the D4).
I'd prefer the Spyderco, but at the price point I can get three Byrds.
To compliment it I carry a small leatherman (squirt) that gives me pliers, screwdrivers etc.

Yeah the G10 Delicas are pretty damn cool.

Re: Why Spyderco?
I have an Endura, Delica and Dragonfly and find that the Endura is the one I carry the most. It’s my workhorse and I use it almost every day. Great blade for food preparation.

Re: Why Spyderco?
I am very happy with my Spyderco knives - I have a Delica 4 and a PM2...
I specifically like the flat profile of Spyderco knives, which is very comfortable in the pocket. The big hole in the blade is super easy for opening and they're flipping sharp knives...

Re: Why Spyderco?
I carry a spyderco ambitious. Sturdy little knife. Same blade, scale and liner thickness as the tenacious, but in a smaller package. I don't carry for SD (definitely need knife training if you intend to use a knife for SD purposes) but for everyday cutting tasks.

Re: Why Spyderco?
I recently got a Ganzo as well, now rebranded as Firebird.
It's a very very nice budget knife with G10 scales for under R500.
