Taking a SD FA into Namibia
Good day,
I have been to Nam a couple of times now for work, now that i have my SD FA i was wondering about being called out to Nam again and if i am allowed to CC my fire arm with me. It would be peace of mind carrying it with me on the long drive to Noordoewer border especially driving during the night in most cases, but what do i need to do when i get there? Sorry for the question. I just dont want a scenario to travel all that way only to be told i am not allowed to cross the border with the fire arm in my possession.
I was thinking to report to customs as well as police but never did that so i am not sure.
Is there maybe someone with first hand experience in this matter?
Thank you

Nope, not happening.
Find a gunshop this side of the border for safekeeping.Sent electronically, thus not signed.

Re: Taking a SD FA into Namibia
No sd firearms allowed to be taken into namibia
When we go hunting that side we leave our sd firearms at the border for safe keeping.

Thanks for the reply guys.
Gertjie87, do you hand it in with SAPS on SA side?
And just to make sure it is Noordoewer?

No, not SAPS. Hand in at dealer.
U can only get a permit to take hunting rifle into Nam.
