That is going to wear some parts. Needs a stronger ping I'd say :p
But an interesting work around. I think I'd prefer the featureless option for ease of use though.

Move to Texas, we have a film industry here as well as great gun laws.

Yeah Texas, I’d love to.
That device, and others that break open the action are ridiculous. All that time to do a mag change and breaking the gun open etc. silly? Personally a fixed stock is fine by me. I usually set mine and leave them. With the fin grip you can also use your favorite Magpul etc stock, just pin it in position so it does not telescope.

Easier said than done in a fully blue state Paul!
As far as these stocks, I’m guessing none of you have ever tried one of these 😬grips or stocks where you cannot wrap the thumb around as in a pistol grip or thumbhole stock. It is surprisingly very easy, shooting with the strong hand only one can pull the stock into the shoulder firmly and mag changes are almost identical to using a pistol grip.
It’s not the same but try shooting your AR without wrapping the thumb around. Or just unloaded at home. I say it’s not really the same because all the fin type grips or the Hera have a grip that’s a bit fatter and shaped to give a solid grip as well as being well textured.
It works very well. They just look like ass! 😄

Move to Texas, We have license to carry; concealed or open.
In 2019 the legislature will probably enact Constitutional Carry. ie. US citizen and Texas resident carry what you want no license. 13 state already have this.
Lots of technical jobs available in central Texas; Austin - San Antonio area. If you want civilian .MIL jobs SA has them.
Never register your firearms. Read 'IBM and the holocaust' by Edwin Black. The Germans under the guise of a census cataloged who was what and who owned what firearms in the 1930's. When things went bad they printed the list of jews who owned firearms and sent it to the local police chiefs. And you know what happened to those families. Who knows what kind of people will be running Ca. in 15 years.
