Re: Star model b grips wanted
HI Nerd. I have a Model B like yours. I don't carry everyday the company I work for does not allow weapons on its premises. I replaced my grips with Micarta grips that I made myself so I still have the originals and you are welcome to them.
I can tell you from experience that this is not the ideal self defense weapon. I bought mine second hand, shot approximately 3000 rounds since then, 99% was reloaded ammunition. I have had the following stoppages: stove pipes, miss feeds and failure to extract. if you keep the gun very clean and I mean spotless they tend to be on the lesser side but still occur. Look for dirt in the extractor especially, the miss feeds I have not gotten a solution for aside from cleaning.
That being said I am saving up for a better handgun, I only paid R850 for this one, so having it is certainly better than having nothing.
I am based in Malmesbury if you want to collect the grips PM me for details
