Default AFRIFORUM / UNITED NATIONS / FARM MURDERS

I just received this on Whatsapp.

How high does it register on your scam-o-meter?

If not, what a good cause?

A quick google show that 45353 is a number that Afriform uses for their sms campaigns.

    So seems to be legit

I received this message about two months ago, and then again today.
I cant believe that it would be stuck on 4000 votes this long..

    Link

Seems like this campaign stopped last year..

Just received a HOAX alert for this very message. Reads verbatim as follows:
"HOAX ALERT. Please be aware that although Afrform WAS at the forefront of this initiative, the SMS number in the message above is not theirs. Their nr is 32534 and SMS cost R1.
It would seem as if someone has 'hi-jacked' their words from their site and is probably raking in the R1.50's :-( . Please see Afriform site. https://www.afriform.co.za/national-...-farm-murders/ And this was published 28 Oct 2015 "

best to check directly with afriform.

The campaign may be legit and they may be doing some good work too. I however seriously doubt that petitioning the UN will make any difference. All I see is a fundraiser. Gerrie Nel must be costing them a fortune...

Keeping in mind that the same UN you are "petitioning" thought it prudent to appoint one of Africa's biggest despot dictators as a "goodwill ambassador"...

    Go afriforum GO!!! -_-

This question was raised on the Afriforum Facebook page, they responded by saying that it WAS a campaign that they ran last year.Screenshot (2).jpg
