What PDW options do we have in SA?

I was just wondering what are our options in SA for PDW type guns? I have seen some rare NEA CCS guns, but was wondering if there are other options? A short AK? What kind and how short can an AK go?

Initially I looked at 300 BLK, but someone did mention a short AK. I suppose something like the Mini Draco is not feasible in SA.

So the question is simple. Let's assume one already has a general purpose AR in 16-inch barrel configuration and this new gun is additional to that. It will be for IDPA. What are the options, and where can one get it?

there were very short barrelled VZ 58s
also seen FN FAL "pistols"

theres some "krink" style ak/variants from zavasta to arsenal to rebranded arsenals (dashprods in 5.56)

tactical 22 had some very cool bulgarian krink style aks

Thanks for the reply. That is an option. Ideally it would still be a little shorter.

I have three SBR's in 7.62 x 39 an Arsenal SLR 107F with 12.5" barrel, a Sig 556 XI Russian with 10" barrel, and a PTR 32 with an 8.5" barrel (Think of an H&K Model 53 in 7.62 x 39) The PTR causes more grins than any other gun, and All the guns take standard AK magazines. I was thinking about sitting down and doing an article on these and comparing them to my 16" milled receiver Arsenal. 7.62x39 just seems to be the right cartridge for short barrels.
