Re: MOVIE: WIND RIVER
A one fine movie, I'd say. As a father myself and a grandfather of four lovely girls I had hard times not to burst in tears. Sentimental old fool that I am.

I wouldn't mind owning the Marlin from the scene... It looks like an awesome rifle.

Re: MOVIE: WIND RIVER
I suppose marshy doesn't suffer from that said syndrome, the brutality he's referring to is totally different kind of and is no way excusable... in the trailer.

Re: MOVIE: WIND RIVER
I meant to say "in the trailer scene", not in the movie trailer :) Those who have seen the movie understand.

Re: MOVIE: WIND RIVER
Pretty unsettling scene for a person who sees themselves as being the protector (sheepdog) of their loved ones. You always plan to be prepared for the unexpected but you seen by others (sheep) as being paranoid. But you ignore them becauae your worst nightmare is being in that trailer scene, out numbered and out gunned and caught with your pants down. You would rather die fighting then having to experience the horror of watching your loved ones being harmed and you not being able to save them. Always questioning your own ability, skill sets, tools and mindset to win the fight when the odds are stacked against you.

Re: MOVIE: WIND RIVER
That's very true. I guess you need to keep believe that no matter how prepared you are, you're never prepared enough and should always be pushing yourself. As you said - you'd rather go out in bloody mess then watch your loved ones go through that.
Never the less, it was a good movie
