Troy A3
I am gong to be purchasing my first AR.
I was looking at a Stag and a Smith&Wesson M&P15, they are more affordable for me. Is the extra money worth spending on a Troy A3? I find VERY little about the A3 on youtube, basically nothing whereas there are many many videos about the M&P15's and stags.
Opinions and suggestions required please.
Thank you.

Re: Troy A3
I think a lot of guys will tell you to go for a cheaper gun and spend the rest you would have spent on the Troy on ammo, mags, RDS, etc.
And there isn't a lot wrong with the Smith & Wesson or Stag I suppose.

Re: Troy A3
M&P 2's currently on sale at good prices. I agree with pbuitendag. Spend the rest on training and mods as necessary

Re: Troy A3
It makes more sense to me too, problem is so far the only M&P Sport 2 I can find is only R500 less than the Troy!?
@Gideon can you point me in the right direction please?

Re: Troy A3
R500 is chump change when it comes to an AR. You’re going to spend a whole lot more than that on ammo (well at least I hope you are) making that small difference in cost a moot point.
I do suspect however, that you may be on a tighter budget than even the cost of these carbines and you should seriously consider looking at Carbine’s in the lower cost scale and beef up your ammo to become more proficient with the Carbine. I see too many cool guys with all the gear and brand name Guns who run them really poorly and when you chat with them the common denominator is the prohibitive cost of ammo, thus not training enough in Carbine use.
