    Default Oakley shooting glasses

    Hi all,

Looking for some feedback from the anyone using Oakley eye-pro for the likes of IDPA/IPSC.
From what I've read the MIL PRF32432 and ANSI Z87.1 (2010) standards are the ones to look for when picking Oakley shooting glasses (and most likely all others too).
Are the SI series the only Oakley's that conform to the above standards?

What do you use? Overall impression?

    Thank you kindly.

From what I have heard, pretty much all the oakleys comply to the standard. I use the Oakley Radars as my dark shooting glasses although I do find the arm hurts with the earmuffs after some time. (*Quick google search below so by no means law)

"Because of this, ANSI ratings have become the safety eyewear industry standard. Almost all models of Oakley sunglasses meet or exceed the ANSI Z87.1 standard for optical clarity and impact resistance. To be sure your particular model complies, check the product description for exact specifications"

Thanks P! So it would seem that the Oakley SI's are not a requirement?

I would not think so but maybe wait for someone a bit more knowledgeable to comment :-)

I use Oakley Flak Jacket, nice and comfortable but now I see the lens are bubbling after 4 years, it does offer good impact protection.

Is the ESS range, as stocked by TacShac, not made by Oakley as well?

Sister companies I believe. I have a pair of Crossbow's and Crossbow Suppressors, both comfy under hearing protection and the lenses look like they could withstand quite a beating.

I have ESS Crossbows too, but the lens I use most is scratched; so I saw this as an opportunity to replace my glasses. ESS are great, but Oakley has always been the best for me.

Running a pair of Oakley Flak 2.0 XL's with the photochromic lenses. Very happy with them, paired with gel pads in my Peltors.
