Now I use the flack 2.0 xl. The flack 2.0 is a bit more comfy and the lenses a little bigger for better eye coverage.

I am very tempted to buy another pair of flack 2.0 exclusively for shooting but with script lenses that is not polarised as working with the tablets for practiscore is a pita with polarised lenses.
Do they take an optical insert?

The Oakley Tombstones available at S&O are the shooting specific range of glasses. I have a set and they are awesome.

No they do not. You have to replace the lenses with prescription ones.

Then you’ll have to specify them to be polycarbonate, which is rather expensive.

I got a quote of R3k for script polarised lenses. This was middle of this year.

Polycarb? The thing is then you don’t know the safety ratings.

If you buying oakley prescription lenses they are automatically polycarb as it is an oakley standard.

I use oakley frames for normal every day wear. Mine are fitted with hoya phoenix lenses which are stronger then polycarb. They were about r1700ea

Ah okay, didn’t realise the script lenses are also Oakley.

    Phoenix is good stuff.

You can't go wrong with Oakley prescriptions for shooting. I have 2 pairs of Flak 2.0 XL, one with polarised and one without, both prescription. One is already scratched from a ricochet off steel plates. Really comfortable and much better than Rudy's with inserts (which I also have). Just check which lenses you choose as they are often sport specific. The lenses feel slightly different for the different sports such as golf or cycling.

I have the older Oakley Radar array. Comes with the G26 (green) and the H.I. Persimmon (yellow) lenses. They are excellent!
Having spent quite a while SOing, I have taken my fair share of bullet fragments to the face. The fact that both my eyes are still intact, attest to their excellent quality.
