Safe storage facilities and EDC - work
So I happen to work for a large casino, I will obviously be carrying to and from work where they have decent gun drop facilities and OB's (occurrence books), my question is - when I do the drop and lockup my FA, can I keep it in the safe as 1up or do I store it unloaded. Reason asking is because it will be easier to just pull the holster from my waist and plop in the safe rather than disarming the FA every day and re-arming once I leave work.
Your thoughts?

If you are moving it between your person and the safe, leave it as is.
If you need to hand it to a guard to place in the safe, unload.

Re: Safe storage facilities and EDC - work
Honestly not sure if there are any legalities behind it, but I also take the FA out in totality in its holster and stash in the safes that are made available at my work place. Sec 13 does allow one to have the FA loaded in your own safe, so I am surmising it is ok as well.
Main reason is that the site I frequent does not have a "bullet catcher", so I feel it is safer than manipulating it every time. So there is that as well...

I can remember at monte casino there were signs up in the safe room where you store your firearm saying that you should lock the firearm away as is and not to unload it.
I think they want to minimize the chance of an AD.

Un-loading and re-loading the one up round will eventually also give you setback. Do the transition to the safe with the FA still in its holster if your holster will allow for un-clipping. I used a IWB holster that used a clip to attach to the belt.

Okay cool thanks guys. Think I will just remove holster from hip, insert into safe and live like that. Shouldn't run into complications.
