Headspace my 338 off the neck as well.As far as i know the belt was designed for the 300 h&h type cartridge with minimal shoulder to headspace on hence the incorporation of the belt.I stand corrected though..

The people that want but don’t have a clue will get a 375.
The people that want a love relationship with their rifle will get a 9.3.
The people with common sense will get a 338.

With no DG on the menu, 9.3 for sure...

I know of a few 375 safe queens. I helped a buddy with some load development once - quite a few rounds shot off the bench. After that I know why..

Honestly, my brother in law has a .338WM. It's the caliber I have most respect for since seeing what it does. He's hunted lots with it - from impala to BWB and, well, it blows a tunnel through anything (with minimal meat damage on heavier bullets).

From what I understand the rifles are cheaper since it's the most powerful cartridge that is still built on a standard length action, so it's shorter to work and cheaper to build. Or something like that. I quite like the .338WM. Kicks a bit and it's expensive to load, but hey, it's not like we're talking .308Win type rifles here, it's par for the course.

I think the fun thing about this topic is the fact that performance is not the subject.
I mean of the two the OP mentioned, and the better one I mentioned(), performance is a given.

How often can one say hell everything will work in a rifle debate, but it's fact, those 3 kills things dead, very well.
It leaves the door open to discuss which rifle one would prefer to buy the cartridge in.

Sheesh, I mean just think you can buy a 9.3x62 Mauser cartridge in a 9.3x62 M12 Mauser rifle, even though I am fairly blunt to nice things, that is a NICE thing :)
