1st and 2nd impression: Shadow 2
I just thought that I must share my impression and thoughts on the CZ Shadow 2. Lets say that this is my attempt at a silly "Youtube" type review.
In the 90's when I started to shoot IPSC Para Ordnance's, Caspians, Brily's and Colts was the in thing when it came to guns.
I shot a "sponsored" Z88 at that stage with all the ammo I could handle.
Production Division happended and we all shot Z88's, Baretta's, CZ75's and the odd P226.
I had 3 teachers, A.P. Van Zyl, Blackie Swarts and Auntie Petri Starck, which tried to keep me calm.
Fast forward to 2017 though transfers, studies, marriage, kids and the, big C.
I never liked a CZ75 due to the broom handle feeling in my hand. I shot maybe 50 rounds with a CZ in my life.
Due to reason I stopped shooting Standard Gun and out came the trusted Z88, this time not sponsored. After a few tries a Club member got me to shoot his Shadow 1 and wow, the trigger was good.
About 5 weeks ago I spoke to Joggie Prinsloo about the Shadow 1 and his advise was buy a 2 as I never shot a 2 previously.
About 2 weeks ago I was in Pretoria and had a few hours free so I decided to go and see what the hype is about.
Needless to say, I test fired my Shadow 2 today.
I shot a 5m, 10m and 20m 19 round rapid groupings both freestyle, strong hand and double action starts. HELL! I WAS seriuosly impressed.
Then to the Bianci Plates at 28m's. Accuracy is outstanding and I was hitting the plates double action at 28m's. More then seriuosly impressed.
One of the best pistols I ever fired! Uncle Japie Buys of the Roodepoort World Shoot even wants to trade the 45's in on a Shadow 2.
Now that I went Shadow 2 I will never go back! Hopefully I will be able to shoot enough now to use the Shadow 2 to its potential.
PS: Enough ammo is luckily available, so now I must find the time.
See you at the next Nationals.

Sounds like you shot at CPPC in the 90's.
You won't regret the Shadow 2 , It"s a CZ and a Shadow , built like a tank.

CZ Shadows is very accurate, because of the low recoil follow-up shots quick.

Shot one today, I'm impressed, far quicker than with my G19. My app is going in this week.

Re: 1st and 2nd impression: Shadow 2
Well it's a CZ so spares shouldn't be a problem. Pistol-forum.com has guys with over 30,000 rounds through theirs with just spring changes, sounds pretty reliable to me.
There was nothing I didn't like about it. Well besides the blue grips, I'd prefer black.
Thats all I can say about it after only about 15 minutes with it today.
It is accurate, very, and I like the light trigger. This coming from a Glock carrier.

It’s a completely different gun to a G19. For a very different purpose. You can’t compare them
