Olight S1 Baton
I had the rechargeable battery in and charged it fully. Decided to play around with it during the week and after figuring out the various modes the red low battery light came on.
Found this odd but thought maybe the battery was not able to hold charge any longer.
Took out a brand new sealed Olight battery (non rechargeable) and put this in. Last night around the braai brought the light out with a bit of a brag, only to have the same thing happen after only 5-10 seconds on full power.
It would only work on lowest setting. Switched off and tried it again later and then worked on full power for a short while again and then did the same as before, any help?

Re: Olight S1 Baton
I have the S1R. From what I gather, that might be because of the charge capacity of the battery. I used the 550mah batteries (rechargeable). I only get full lumens a few times than it also does as you described.
There is a 650 mah battery as well. Maybe that lasts better?

Re: Olight S1 Baton
AFAIK the 650mah cannot sustain the Turbo mode on the S1R, you need the 550mah for that.
Griffin the non-rechargeable shouldn’t be able to give you the 900 lumens either, but it should be able to give you 500. The low voltage indicator might also be a function of that, a CR123 is charged at 3 volts, and a RCR123 is about depleted at 3 volts.
I suggest trying a new fully charged rechargeable from Olight and giving it a bash. If it does the same then the light needs looking at.

Re: Olight S1 Baton
Thing is it does it with normal original Olight battery as well.

Is it new though? They build up internal resistance fairly quickly.
Oh, is the S1R or the S1?Sent electronically, thus not signed.

Olight S1 Baton
Just found another rechargeable, 650mAh version though. Originally came with the 550mAh.

Re: Olight S1 Baton
Storms like a battery issue. I'm using the 550 (light blue on the right). That's what olight recommended when I got it

Re: Olight S1 Baton
So I have been trying out a few different batteries and the light still will not stay on turbo mode for longer than 5 seconds. Advertised says it should do 30 seconds. Even before the double click to turbo (not sure but think it's 300 lumens) it stays on for only 3-5 seconds.
Maybe the programming is out?
