    Default Shotgun restoration

    Good day
Got a very old black powder shotgun from my dad yesterday. Keen to shoot it but it needs some work.
The stock is busted and i think that might also be the reason that it don't want to stay cocked.
Any one who you guys can recommend to work on the shotgun??

Strip the gun and take photos of any inscriptions on the action and barrels. There should be enough knowledge here to give better advice.

You might have a classic on hand and cause irreparable damage when meaning good.

As far as I'm concerned, Photobucket is kaput. Their blackmail tactics turned almost everyone in the world against them.

Is your gun a muzzleloader or a cartridge gun?

I have repaired a shotgun stock that snapped in half with good results, try upload your pics with Imgur or tinypic and lets have a look. Or email me, croc1@gaucheair dot com.

If you have serious bucks to spend, Gerrie Coetzee in Bloemfontein does exceptionally good work.
