Squeegie men: Advice

As most of you know, squeegie men are the idiots who approach your car at traffic lights, pour water on the screen and try to "clean" it (usually with a dirty rag of sqeegie) for money, without the driver's consent.

Hooting does not seem to work with these idiots and I fear threats of physical violence might get me in trouble with the law.

Any advice?

Leave half a car length between you and the car in front of you... if the shooing doesn't work close said gap as they approach.

If you drive with proper spacing habits in regards to hijack prevention etc you should have more then enough space for movement.
I also find making eye contact and giving them that "leave me alone " look helps, this also works with approaching robot sales people

Use your car's wiper sprayer to clean off their water. If that doesn't work, use a pin to turn on of your sprayers to spray them.
