So I saw a post on Facebook today that said Glock 45s are coming to SA. They described them as “Glock 19s with a 19 slide and a 17 frame”.

This sounds exactly like a 19X to me. Is there any difference? Someone also commented that they couldn’t decide between purchasing the 19X or the 45. Would this just be because of colour?

The release of the 17 & 19 gen 5 in MOS is exciting stuff and I will definitely acquire one. Don't know why they just did a Glock 45 in MOS while they were at it.....

Suppose there must be something in the pipeline to look forward to.

Its a Gen 5 Pistol with 19X dimensions in black with front serrations. So magwell is different as well as the mags, mag release and spring cups it ships with.

Put my first 100 rounds through my 19x yesterday and I just love this gun.....I'm a total noob and have only owned a Hi-Power clone for 25 years. I must say it will be easier to carry than the Hi-power because the slide length...I never had a problem with the frame when standing but when I sit down the slide would push the frame into an uncomfortable position on the Hi-Power(carried it for 2 years)...out of all the guns I tried the feel and ergo's on the 19x felt the best for me and with extra extended mags and steel night sights, the extra price is worth it.
