Glock 36 vs Glock 30 (or 30s)
Hi guys. Been looking hard at a Glock .45 and I've been wondering about the 36 lately. But they are few and far between, so I've only handled the 30. Anyone own a 36?
Are they much smaller than say a 19 or a P07? As a point of reference.
How available are magazines? Any mag extentions available?
Basically, is it worth the single stack for the concealment factor, or is it practically the same size as the 30 or 30s?

Hellkitty has a G36. She may have some input.

HK has a 36 AND a 30S. She carries the 30S.

Re: Glock 36 vs Glock 30 (or 30s)
Manny, the 36 and 30/30S are pretty much exactly the same length. Height-wise the 36 with a standard mag in is roughly the same height as a 19/23 without a mag inserted. But the 36 frame is much thinner. Around 3.6mm IIRC.
My 30S is a noticeable few mm shorter than a gen4 compact. something like 20ish mm shorter.
With 4 less 230gr rounds in, and the narrower frame, the 36 is obviously going to be lighter. And the only reason I stopped EDCing my 30S .... the spare mags for the 36 won't feel like a concrete mixer on your left hip. But I was carrying 13rd spares.
edit: If you'd like to shoot the 30S just give me a shout and I can take it with to KSSC one range day. There are no stupid questions ........ just stupid people

Re: Glock 36 vs Glock 30 (or 30s)
Thanks for the info man. Do you know if you get mag extentions for the 36mags? Or is 6 rounds it? Don't see a lot of glock 36 mags being advertised online.
And thanks for the range offer on the 30s, I might take you up on that. Sounds like it might be the way to go.

Of the two the 30S make better sense.
Neither makes as much sense a G19

Re: Glock 36 vs Glock 30 (or 30s)
I have a 36 and a 19.
36 easier to conceal (slightly less width makes a nice difference) and satisfying to shoot casually.
No experience with the 30 and the S did not yet exist when I got the 36.
