Transporting hunting or sport shoot weapon unloaded
83 Storage and transport of firearms and ammunition
Firearms and ammunition must be stored and transported in the prescribed manner.
Is it true that a hunting or sport shoot weapon must be transported unloaded?
I don't see where the "prescribed manner" is defined regarding this issue.

Re: Transporting hunting or sport shoot weapon unloaded
No. The FCA mandates all FA's licensed under sections 12 - 17 have to be transported (in a public place) in the same manner, being covered. No mention of loaded or not.
There are provisions in the nature conservation legislation of some provinces for transporting guns with barrels longer than a certain length with empty chamber under certain conditions. This specifically excludes typical SD handguns.

Re: Transporting hunting or sport shoot weapon unloaded
in terms of Safety, if the weapon is not in your control why would you want it loaded?
