    Default Airsoft/BB Gun

    Hi Guys,

I was thinking, while I am waiting for my Glock19's license I should get a BB or Airsoft gun to do some dryfire practice.

I have already bought a Quantum Carry holster etc, so it will help me get my concealment and fit right, as well as to practice some draws etc.

    What would you recommend?

I don't want to spend an arm and a leg as I would rather spend it on ammo and training from a pro.....but I have an empty holster now. hahaha.

Many years back I use to play some airsoft.
We also bought Airsoft Co2/Green gas guns.

They look real and function real.

But they leak. The orings fail frequently.
And the mag Orings are small and not easy to find.

This is mainly due to the C02 gas. That gets cold when you fill and shoot. Eating the Orings.

Although Most people fill mags with Propane and add Silicone to it. Which is then the green gas. same effect happens. The cold eats the orings.

I need something a little cheaper than what I see available, R2100.00 for a pistol.....rather spend that on the actual gun's accessories.....

Mmm, will see if there are any second hand ones available..

You’ll get quite a bit of value from a blue gun replica. Draws, presentation, target transitions, all can be practiced with it.

You could check your concealment etc with it in the house, but don’t be tempted to carry it in public, it would be bad if you were made, attacked for your firearm and unable to defend yourself with it.

I’ve used the blue gun a lot to show newbies grip, stance (not that I even managed to get my own stance right this weekend...), and sight picture. It’s also much better when doing force-on-force training than the alternatives.
