    Default Paper patching

When paper patching a bullet, do you wrap the paper in the same direction as the rifle twist or in the opposite direction?

There seems to be two schools of thought about this:
1- With rifle twist will tighten the patch further around the bullet
2- Against rifle twist will have the rifling cut into the patch for a better gas seal + unwrap the patch

Rifle concerned is an 1890 Charles Osborne .450 built on Martini MkII action, right hand twist 1:22"

Diagrams of original .450 boxer cartridges shows the patching being wrapped clockwise, thus same direction as rifle twist

There is a pretty cool video on Midway USA's youtube channel about paper patching bullets. Maybe that can help you out?
