License cards... HOW LONG CAN THEY TAKE?

Cards should come through quicker now that they have got through the backlog caused by printing competency cards. My one licence was approved on 2/11 and I collect the card today

I had to ask for a reprint today. Licences approved 8 Aug. Was at DFO today. According to the system my cards not even printed yet.

So do they send SMS's for collecting cards or does the DFO call you?

My DFO in Western Cape said up to 2 months for the card to be printed. Crazy. After such a long wait... Eish.

I applied for 4 new S16 licences mid September. They were approved 5th November. It's now Xmas and still no cards!

And another one: all my Licence cards were stolen in a burglary. I applied for a full set of reprints (18 licences costing R70 each, do the math) in Feb 2018. So far I have received 4 of them, and one of them was an expired Licence (2014) which has since been renewed! And to top that, they were sent to an SAPS station I have not lived near for two years.

WTF!!!!

Hi Gents , hopefully someone can shed some light on this matter, my dad moved to a new house beginning December 2018 and cant seem to find his green license for his firearm . Can you request a reprint on the green cards ?

Yep!

Regardless of whether he later got a 'white' licence for that same firearm, the 'green' licence is valid and SAPS will issue a replacement card. They may bitch about it, but they have no choice.
