PMP cases are very good. (some would say over engineered)

Norinco 5.56 ammo will never be on the same level as PMP, but it is good enough. The brass is probably not the best. I get about one or two cases in a hundred that get a small crack on the case neck or along the side of the case on the first firing. Those I chuck and the rest seem to hold up well.

If memory doesn't fail me the Norinco stuff isn't as hot as Milsurp PMP berdan ammo. There is an average of about 60 -80 fps difference from my rifle. But I have never needed to whack some dude two valleys away in Afkakistan, so I'm all for shooting lower pressure ammo through my own guns.

But as per FN Browning's post it is hot enough and if I compare it to published velocities of some other brands of full military spec (with lot numbers) surplus ammo, it is right up there with the rest.

Then the Chinese stuff should be good. Stay away from JF headstamped (Indian?) mil-surp even if the bullets were pulled and "re" loaded with a reduced charge. The cases necks are over length. Not good for pressure when your rifling is crimping the neck while the bullet is trying to squeeze by...
