    Default Discoloration of copper jackets

How to I stop my Ranger T's from discoloring in my spare mag?
I know it makes no functional difference but just bugs me.

Not much you can do. Best would be a light wax coating. But that will pick up dust = worse

    BUT much you shouldn't do.
Don't use any chemicals, brass cleaners or varnishes. As these may create a chemical bond between the bullet and the brass. Not good

Shoot them before they change color, and replace with new ones ? There was some news about a new Winchester shipment coming to SA in March if you did want to change.
Plus they should be upside down in your mag holder so you shouldn't be seeing them anyway.

Jeweller's tip: polished copper only remains shiny by regular polishing, or by spraying clear lacquer on once it is shiny.

Both are in my opinion unwise options when it comes to ammunition. Polishing with a buff heats up the brass and lacquer will stick to your chamber walls.

Why would tumbling be a bad idea?
