License Application screw-up
Help Please!
I recently applied for a license after I bought a rifle from a dealer in Brakpan.
When I went to my local DFO to check the credentials of the weapon the system showed that the weapon belonged to another entity. (not the same as what is stated on the application by the dealer).
I phoned the dealer and got informed that they are sorting it out.
Two months have since passed...
Where do I go from here?
Is there anything I could do or should I wait for the dealer?

Re: License Application screw-up
I had a similar issue and turns out the serial number I was initially given was incomplete.
Initial serial was 12345 and should have been BRN/12345.
The details of the rifle loaded on serial number 12345 was ironically a .22lr also but totally different make registered to some person. That's when my gun shop picked up their error.
