I don't know for sure, but I bet they do!

What would they do if you lost your key?

Apparently they have duplicate keys, but they're not on site, so it's not as simple as them getting a key to open your safe. I asked this question at Montecasino before, since I go there from time to time.

    Technically... that's illegal!

We have only their word for it. SAPS cannot approve this scheme since it is an ultra vires arrangement. You may still be in the crap if your gun goes missing...

If they don't have a proper arms register for you to sign your firearm in on... it ain't proper!

Breaking the law would mean leaving a licensed FA in a vehicle.

Entering with a licensed FA won't break any law, just their own silly rules.

It would only be curteous to let licensed FA owners know that FFM is a no-go area by their own rules.

If you say proper arms register you mean the same type that you dealers and gunsmiths keep?

Monte I know has a triplicate carbon book where you fill in all the firearm details. includes date and time of lock up and collection.
1 copy stays with you, 1 copy in the safe and one in the book.

To take firearms in for storage you require a Dealers Licence and a Register which is approved and inspected by the local DFO. Absent that and it's all security theater!

Ensure you give them one star reviews on every possible platform.
Let them know they’ve lost you business. Tell you friends to avoid their business. Tell the businesses there that you will avoid them and why.

Ensure they understand that their is a consequence to their action

Be polite. Don’t lose your temper. Don’t threaten don’t rant. Basically don’t be a dick and remember you represent us a group when you communicate.

Agreed. I've started to let people know of this. When I told my wife, her reaction was "well the place sucked anyway, so no loss" :D
